My journey in health care began when I started volunteering as a Massage Therapist for The Cleveland Browns in 2008. I was fortunate enough to meet and train under a renowned Sports Massage Therapist and Athletic Trainer who taught me an amazing technique called Stretch Assisted Massage. Business grew quickly as I started my own company, Muscle Maintenance Sports Massage, where I provided in-home massage therapy to many of the athletes. By 2009 I earned a massage contract and was traveling with the Cleveland Browns, in addition to providing therapeutic massage for the Detroit Lions and patients within Bay Chiropractic Center.
Life quickly changed in 2010 when I married and became a military spouse. While my husband experienced multiple deployments out of New York I was able to divide my time between NY and Cleveland for a few more years in order to pursue the career I loved. At the same time, I finished a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and Biology and earned advanced certifications in health and fitness. When my husband returned stateside I knew it was time to leave my work with professional athletes and begin the nomadic life of a military spouse!
We have since experienced four moves in only five years time. I have been fortunate enough to gain a variety of experience in multiple healthcare settings. I have provided exercise prescription and medical massage within a hospital, managed a small day spa, provided wellness interventions and therapeutic massage for a rural town, and provided medical massage and exercise guidance in a physical therapy and sports medicine clinic. Most recently, I provided exercise testing, personal training, and wellness counseling services.

As a dedicated lifelong learner, I am always busy earning a new certification or investigating the latest research. I am currently earning a Masters in Public Health from University of Massachusetts online in order to deepen my understanding of health education and disease prevention. In my free time you can find me running distance, hiking, and creating healthy recipes with my husband and three-year-old son. Some of our most exciting family accomplishments include qualifying for the Boston Marathon just months after having a baby (myself) and being the only runner in history to push a fifty pound jogging stroller up the side of Vail Mountain during the 2014 Go Pro Games Half Marathon (my husband).
I have a true passion for helping others remain well, wherever the military decides to send us. It is my personal commitment to all clients to blend my education, experience, and certifications in order to provide the best experience possible. I believe in a comprehensive approach to health care and am happy to work with your current Physician or Physical Therapist. Whether you are looking to make positive lifestyle changes, lose a few pounds, restore range of motion to tight muscles, or continue an exercise program with consideration for past injuries I am happy to be your go-to girl! Together we can achieve a healthier, happier you!
